This is a fringed men’s scarf featuring an ornate paisley pattern in green, red and white against a maroon background colour. The fringe is in maroon, white and green.
Age: 1940s / 1950s
Label: Hand Printed Kashmere Scarf by Brill
Material: No fabric label, but I think that this is a rayon/wool blend in a challis texture - soft and drapey is a twill finish, typical of post-war scarf production.
Size: 42” long, exclusive of fringe and 48” long including the 3” fringe at either side. It has a width of 13 1/4”.
Condition: It is in very good condition with no stains, wear or tear - this scarf looks like it saw little use and was well stored over the years.
This is a wonderful hand printed scarf - striking pattern, sure to be noticed!
